Our Place in the Sun

A 35 minute drive from Villamartin, Alicante is the vibrant centre of the Costa Blanca. It is a prosperous and bustling city in a fine coastal position and overlooked by the remains of the huge castle, which presides over the city and can be reached by funicular lifts.  

Alicante is brimming with fantastic restaurants, bars and shops. There is a beautiful waterfront promenade that stretches along the harbour, which is full of boats and yachts. To the east of the harbour is a large fine sandy beach which is backed by numerous bars, hotels, and restaurants.

Adjacent to the promenade lies the Paseo de la Explanada de Espana, which is a patterned tessellated walkway lined with palm trees, and is scattered with brightly coloured chairs and plants.
