(Owner/Founder of Avancar School of Motoring) - I HAVE RETIRED.

Served in the Royal Air Force, from the age of 16, for 24 years.  

My last 10 years of RAF service was spent designing Training Courses. For each course designed, I taught Technicians, Managers and Instructors and for that work was awarded a Certificate of Commendation.  

During those 10 years Organized National Cycling Proficiency Scheme courses and with a team of helpers, taught Cycle Training to youngster’s aged 7 to 15.  

Passed both Car and Motorcycle Tests in 1964 and from the beginning took a keen interest in Driving and Vehicle Maintenance.  

On leaving the RAF, spent 3 years traveling the United Kingdom and occasionally abroad, driving a wide range of new cars.  Tasks involved organizing car shows and giving presentations working on behalf of an office based sales team.  

The year leading to Qualifying as a Department of Transport (DoT) Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) was spent selling interactive processor based training systems.

DoT is now DSA (Driving Standards Agency) so now known as a DSA ADI.
